This aerial view captures downtown Dayton beneath a hazy summer sky. The gray appearance wasn't from approaching rain—it was largely caused by smoke from the massive Canadian wildfires that drifted hundreds of miles south into Ohio, reducing visibility and impacting air quality across the Miami Valley.

While the haze will eventually fade, photographs like this become part of history, preserving not only Dayton's skyline but also a moment when events happening hundreds of miles away shaped what the city looked like from above.

We watched the ceremony on the TV while at Kings Island, I was trying to understand why Trump was on the TV, and was because the US and Mexico jointly hosted the World Cup.
